2014 Feng Shui Monthly Update: Is October Over Yet???

October 22, 2014 by Master Simona

Feng_Shui_dog_month_horse_yearAs I had mentioned few months ago when 2014 kicked off, the 2014 Feng Shui for the Year of the Wood Fire Horse was going to be “interesting”. As the year unfolds we are coming across even more interesting months.
First February (Tiger month, wood element, great enhancer of the Horse), practically pulverized us with its intensity and left us startled and unable to act on anything till the month was over (mid March).
Then June, a Horse month in a Horse year (see my previous post on this blog) was double Fire causing endless trouble to Rat people and North sitting buildings specially, but overall so bad it almost turned good for the majority (marvels of Yin and Yang).
And now what?
October, the Dog month. The Dog is the “other” enhancer of the Horse and holds the energy of Fire-Earth, making the energy of the year not only stronger, but “stubborn” because of the slowing effects that the Earth has on Fire.

With the exception of people who’s personal energy is favored by the Fire element, this year has not been easy to navigate. If you are a Wood element, then the Fire burns you; if you have Metal, the Fire melts you (even worse then burning you); if you have Water, such intense Fire will make the water evaporate; if you have Earth, it will push you over the edge. Even for some strong Fire people, more Fire could have been a challenge.

So as we observe the past few months going by, we saw August (Monkey – Metal Element) drained by the Year’s Fire; then September (Rooster month – Metal element) also drained by the Horse’s fire. If you felt unmotivated and inconclusive, now you know why.

And now October, with its Fire-Earth combination, is delivering another punch. So if you noticed everything being heavy, slow, stuck in the mud and are feeling temperamental about it, you are right on schedule.

The solar month of the Dog started on October 8 and will end on November 7.
We are almost past the midpoint, so things should be looking up from now on. However, if the month has hit you pretty hard so far, I’d wait till after November 7 to make all those very important decisions – buy a house, start a new business, sign ANY kind of legal paper. You’ll be amazes how much more clarity you’ll have once this month is over. Your perspective on things will probably be very different then.

On a similar note: Coming up in December is the Rat month (Water Element) which opposes full front the Horse Year. Opposition is the worse of all combination, so for sure this year will go out with a Bang. We can expect for it to be a really tough, exhausting, physically unhealthy month as well. Get ready by taking care of all “shaky” situations in your life before then. More updates when the month begins.

Nothing to worry if we have addressed the Feng Shui in your house before.

Take care  :-))

Feng Shui Year of the Horse – Warning: June 2014 is Fire Month in a Fire Year

June 4, 2014 by Master Simona

Month of the HorseThis year of the Horse is plugging along and it is finally starting to feel like it. A genuine Yang-Fire year. After slow beginnings in February and March, the Yang-Fire energy of the Horse has kicked in full blast and it is still rising, getting ready to peak soon in June. So, in this Feng Shui Year of the Horse, we’ll have Fire month in a powerful Fire Year. It is all we needed to get unstuck from last year energy, as we previously discussed in my yearly forecast earlier this year.

Just a cautionary note however: as we enter June – which in the Chinese calendar is also the Horse month and starts on June 6th this year – the already powerful Horse energy of the year it is going to be further increased by the Horse month. Meaning the intensity of the Yang- Fire year is going to be double by the Yang-Fire of the month, and it will reach a couple of high points during the month, coinciding with the Horse days.

While we are tempted to think that if one is good, two or three must be better, the old wisdom of Feng Shui, particularly of Yin and Yang, warn us: when something is TOO MUCH can cause disasters. And so, because the Horse year is the strongest, when paired up with the strongest Fire month and the strongest Fire day it is NOT good news.

How should we handle this difficult month?

In general, postponing all the important things until past July 7 is a good idea (after which the month of the Horse ends and the month of the Sheep begins).

Depending on your date of birth, you maybe more or less adversely effected by this combination. So here are my suggestions in general and for the most effected signs:

1) People born in the Year of the Rat or the Horse should be particularly careful. With the exceptions of a few, most people born in these sign are most effected by this year and month on multiple aspects of their lives.

2) People born in the Monkey and Rooster year (Metal), or with an abundance of Metal elements in their charts, should also be careful, as Fire melts Metal and so the energy of the Year and month can prove difficult on a health level.

3) Anybody who’s not sure about their personal chart: take everyday easy, one step at the time, day by day. If you notice things are very hard like swimming upstream, postpone important things till after July 7, after which the month of the Sheep will begin.

4) For everybody: avoid leaving fire elements – like candles, fireplace or fire pit – unattended. Since the Fire is strong this month, it can easily get out of hand, increasing the potential for fire disasters.

5) Also, due to Yang-Fire nature, people patience may be short this month. Or shorter then usual. Be patient in all circumstances and try your best to avoid any bad mood escalation. They can have real, long lasting consequences way past this month.

6) If your house faces North or South: avoid ANY kind of construction in your building or surrounding property. Ideally, waiting until past next Chinese New Year (2015) is preferable, but if you MUST have it done now, waiting until June has passed will be preferable. If you MUST have it done before then, I suggest you seek the consult of a Feng Shui expert to help you choose a day in the month that is going to mitigate the effects of this intense combination.

The end of Yin, the begining of Yang

February 17, 2014 by Master Simona

Has 2014 started yet?

Has 2014 started yet?

February 5th marks traditionally the beginning of spring in the Feng Shui calendar: literally translated it is the “end of the Yin and the beginning of the Yang”. This is the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox.

This is also the point when the energy of the previous year has completely exhausted and the energy of the new year really begin effecting us.  Remember that this doesn’t happen overnight: it begins on February 5th and builds up in power as Spring weeks progress. As you have seen in my yearly forecast, this year of the Wood Horse it is expected to be a big improvement over last year, but the change doesn’t seem to want to come easy.Truthfully,  last year energy and this year energy are so different,  almost polar opposites in terms of Feng Shui, that the shift is bound to be felt by most.

Many have reported a sense of exhaustion and disassociation.

This is happening not because the New Year has a low energy, but rather because we are suddenly become aware of how hard the last year it has been and how much effort it has taken to plow through it day after day.

It is rather typical that it would take a while  into the new energy to recover from several months of low, depleting energy. So if you are experiencing that, it is a clear sign that your awareness is been restored, which also means your own energy is getting better and sharper.

All of it will be faster and easier if you have applied the many Feng Shui recommendations we provide in our classes and consultations of course,  because it is the main concern of  the Authentic, Scientific Feng Shui that we teach in our classes  and in our consultations to harvest the best energy in a building for the well-being of its occupants.

And this is all the more necessary when we need to replenish after a long, difficult time.

Take advantage of this new flow of positive energy to set your offices, your stores, your businesses and your house to be naturally supported by the life-force energy of the New Year and to support you through the next twelve months. Our classes on Feng Shui for Office and Feng Shui for the House are currently available live and in video here.

Our Professional Feng Shui programs for Interior Designers, Architects and aspiring Professional Feng Shui Consultants are also available this spring live and in video format. Check them out here.

3 Feng Shui Tips for Chinese New Year

January 30, 2014 by Master Simona

2014 Year of the Wood Horse

2014 Year of the Wood Horse

As per my live presentation few weeks ago, Friday January 31st is when the New Chinese Year kicks in. Between then and the Spring Stand (February 5th), the old energy of 2013 will leave completely your house and the new energy, 2014 Wood Horse, will start effecting your life.

Here are some quick tips on how to attract as much of this new energy as possible.

1) Old, broken or unused got to go: everything in your life that is irreparably broken – objects especially – need to be repaired of discarded. Appliances, clothes, furniture, car, old papers are “breaking” your energy every time you attempt to use it and can’t. So if they cannot be repaired, they need to be replaced with  working ones. I know you think is not that easy, but as I am typing this, I am actually clearing all my file cabinets in my office. Easy? No! But it feels great when it is done and you’ll experience your energy raising exponentially as you make your way to the garbage bin.

2) Early Spring Cleaning: after removing any broken or unused object it is time to do a good spring cleaning. I am not going to be to particular about this. If you are very neat and want to do the proverbial toothbrush cleaning go right ahead. If you do not have a time and you want to do a vacuum-dust off cleaning that is fine too. No matter what, as you do it, you are cleaning AND shaking the energy in the space, allowing it to flow more. And because you have make space by getting rid of old stuff, that will have a “vacuum” effect in attracting new 2014 energy to fill up the space. As I am also experiencing it right now, I promise you’ll feel the difference immediately.

3) Rearrange your furniture: Everybody’s house is different. I just turned the room from where I broadcast my classes around to have better concentration with my students this year. As I have explained in my live presentation, different “energy” are going to occupy different areas this year and so you can rearrange the furniture to spend more time in the section of your house with better energy. I need to refer you again to that video because it address them all in details.

Have fun and enjoy bringing in more luck for 2014!
